Labimex, founded in 1934, is one of Mexico’s oldest independent manufacturers of generic medicines

Its main products include prazosin (Prabioquim®), carbamazepine (Labybam®), furosemide (Frudemisan®), captopril (Labycap®) and glibenclamide (Glabioquim®).

Its main customer is mainly the public sector (Health Ministry, Social Security, state governments), but also sells to leading private-sector outlets.

Labimex is licensed for manufacturing generics in solid form, which include psychotropic medicines—one of only six laboratories in Mexico with such a license. The Health Ministry awarded Labimex a “Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practices” for pharmaceutical products.

Labimex is a member of ANAFAM, the Mexican Association of Manufacturers of Medicines.
